From 'Beyond The Wall'

Okay, I've been gone from my own blog for too long. And naturally, I'm back because of Game of Thrones. Work and commuting have been so time consuming. I spent all day in front of the PC and most nights, I would just write somewhere else. I didn't really feel like making similar posts to like I did for a the few last episodes on previous season. And what hasn't been said? All the theories out there, from the possible to nonsense ones, are enough to cover it. But I have to because Season 7 Episode 6, 'Beyond The Wall', is INSANE. I'm just gonna make some point and I'll try to keep this short.

First of all, I kind of hate the fast pace of the whole season. Like, I get why they do it. But it used to take so long to travel across Westeros and now they just make it so fast, that sometimes it feels so unreal. Yes, to me the traveling time feels unreal, not the dragons and ice zombies. Ha.

I'm really disappointed with Arya and Sansa's scenes in tonight's episode. I read a theory last week, that Arya was actually aware that Littlefinger is tricking her. I was hoping so hard that and we still have the finale to prove it, but I think it's unlikely. Arya is the one who was never really 'exposed' to Littlefinger's manipulations game. But I still hope that she will see it soon, given her training with the Faceless Men. Okay, next.

Spoiler alert, obviously.

I said to my friends that it will be fair if Daenerys lost one of her dragons. By that I mean, one of them will probably be controlled by the dragonhorn that was supposedly in the possession of Euron Greyjoy. But no. The Night's King turned out to be a very well trained athlete (maybe he trained during those long ass summer?) and got himself a freaking dragon, instead. Sure. Have it your way. It was a lot more heartbreaking to see than I thought it would be. It's my sensitive pet owner heart, I suppose. Don't blame me.

It's also really interesting. You know that theory that Tyrion is also a Targaryen because he's the Mad King's son? I never want to believe that theory. But people were like, you know, the dragon has three heads and they believe each are represented by Daenerys, Jon, and Tyrion as the last Targaryen. Well, now that Viserion is gone, I guess it's only Dany and Jon now, huh? I'm not sure how to feel about the possibility of their romance, though. Also, there were like tons of fanart of Night's King riding a dragon before Season 7 started. It makes sense, but I never really put much thoughts on it. Mainly because I thought the dragon would be controlled by that damn dragonhorn. So to see it on screen kind of feel like seeing a fanfic (fan theory, in this case) came to life. Some pretty solid theories have been proven so far. Let's just hope the theory that Bran is actually the Night's King to be one of them.

And lastly, I read about an actor being cast as Rhaegar Targaryen. I get a feeling that we'll get another flashback on the season finale. I really just want Jon to know about his parents, okay?! I would also like to know Cersei's plans/next moves.

Overall, this episode was pretty messy emotionally and narratively. So, yeah, we'll see what will happen next.

55 Random Thoughts on Season 6, Episode 10 of Game of Thrones, “The Winds of Winter”

This post is full of spoilers. You’ve been warned.

I can’t believe it is already 10 weeks since we begin with the new season. And I’m dreading the long wait ahead until the new one begins next year. Anyway... I’m quite happy that this season ends well, not awfully like Season 5. Well, sure a lot of people died, but it was just nice, you know?

I have to watch it again because a lot of things are going on. Also, I woke up like 7 minutes after the episode begun (it’s 8 am here). K. Here we go.

  1. The opening credits has always been interesting, especially when they have new places. But today I’m just really happy to see the Stark’s direwolf back on Winterfell.
  2. Anyhow... Is it just me or Cersei and Margaery’s dress look similar?
  3. Dude. Loras! What was exactly Margaery’s plan for Loras? It breaks my heart when he said he’ll never marry because honestly he probably only ever loved Renly. :(
  4. Oh, now he has that awful mark on his forehead.
  5. Uh huh this smells like smokes already. Cersei will burn the whole city to the ground? I thought we’ll see that on the next season.
  6. Brother Lancel is following a little kid to the dungeon. Wouldn't do that if I were you.
  7. I don’t even like Grand Maester Pycelle but it is so mean to make these little children/spies to do it.
  8. That’s a lot of wildfire. Cersei’s really going to burn the whole city??
  9. Stubborn, arrogant Sparrow. Margaery is clever, all right. Save yourself and your family, Margaery!
  10. Except of course, freaking Faith Militants.
  11. Woot tiny candles.
  12. Why did Lancel insist on blow the candles off? Like, why not put it off with your hands, maybe?
  13. HOLY FUCKING SHIT. Oh, okay, only the great sept then.
  14. Poor Septa Unella. What did exactly they did to her?
  15. Oh, Tommen... I would probably just want to die right then if I were him.
  16. Aaand he was thinking the same thing. Oh man, Cersei’s prophecy is almost complete!
  17. Ugh we’re at The Twins again. Other places are also dark, but this place is just so gloomy and unhappy.
  18. Shut up already, Walder Frey.
  19. Cersei didn’t even shed a tear for Tommen? Like, the tears are making her eyes glazy but didn’t fall. Man...
  20. I would probably react the same way as Sam if I see that kind of library.
  21. No women or children. Okay. But do you have a waiting room?
  22. Ahhh back at Winterfell... I’m still trying to get used to this. The Starks! Back in Winterfell!
  23. When Davos said Shireen was like his own daughter... :(
  24. But do tell me, Davos, what kind of wood was that?
  25. The Davos x Melisandre ship is broken.
  26. I’m really happy that Sansa didn’t actually trust Littlefinger and that she apologized to Jon...
  27. I want to ship Jon and Sansa sooo bad but that doesn’t seem right.
  28. “Winter is here.” And cue the House Stark music. And they’re laughing about that phrase. I’m gonna cry.
  29. I almost forgot that Olenna wasn’t in King’s Landing.
  30. VARYS! For God’s sake, he only said “Fire and blood” but that’s pretty chilling.
  31. I’ve been feeling a little off about Daario because he’s overconfident sometimes. And he takes it pretty well.
  32. I agree with this tweet. I think we all need Tyrion to help us through break-up(s).
  33. Awwww Tyrion. Look at his face when Dany put the pin on. :’))
  34. Hmmmm Frey pies.
  35. Holy shit, Arya!!I didn’t saw that coming! How did she get there so fast? She stole a face from the hall?? But bravo, Arya!
  36. Is this show making me a terrible person?
  37. “It’s a pretty picture.” BAHAHAHAHAH.
  38. He’s calling Sansa my love... I’m glad Sansa just walked away. I was afraid she’s turning a lot more like Littlefinger.
  39. Fuck yessssss Tower of Joy. Fucking finally.
  40. GIVE IT TO MEEEEEEEE!!
  41. Holy shit.
  42. Lyanna is sooo beautiful.
  43. Promise me, Ned.
  44. Ned has such a hard time processing this information.
  45. He’s opening his eyes! Wow such dark eyes and it’s all focused on his eyes.
  46. Dude, I think they’re going to transition the scene into adult Jon’s eyes, for the sake of confirming it.
  47. IT FUCKING DID. I’M SUCH AN EMOTIONAL WRECK RIGHT NOW. AND THE MUSIC IS MAKING IT WORSE. IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL. *crying*
  48. I mean, they didn’t really say that Rhaegar is the father. But consider the R+L=J theory confirmed, right? Right??? *crying some more*
  49. Lyanna Mormont is a tough little beast. I want to name him my queen.
  50. Remember when Tormund said “Jon is no king” in the previous episode and now he’s King in the North?
  51. He’s probably had enough with all the leadership though... hahahaha.
  52. Cersei dressed up for her own coronation. Of course. Did she get the crown made with a design she specifically chose?
  53. About the crown, I really like it. But I think the Baratheons (including Tommen and Margaery) have the most beautiful ones. Especially Renly.
  54. I swear, the way Cersei and Jamie’s stare met was so full of electric charge. And not in a good way. Now that Cersei is the Mad Queen, I really want the rest of the theory to be true. (more on that later)
  55. So after 6 seasons, Daenerys is finally sailing to Westeros. It gave me goosebumps. There are so many behind her!

So about the Mad Queen... In her prophecy, Cersei will die after all of her children, in the hands of Valonqar and I really want it to be Jaime. It’s gonna be a lot of more tragic if it was indeed Jaime who has to end her. And not to mention, he has to kill the Mad King Aerys before he burned King’s Landing and then finally ending Targaryen reign. If Jaime eventually kills Cersei (which I think will happen next season), it will make way for another Targaryen to rule. Tragic, right? And the music in this episode is just superb.

Okay, okay. Let me just say, again, that I’m glad the season didn’t end with a horrible cliff-hanger like season 5. And I can’t believe it’s already ending. I will surely going to spend my days reading a shitloads of theories and any news regarding Game of Thrones. See you on the next season!

56 Random Thoughts on Season 6, Episode 9 of Game of Thrones, "Battle of the Bastards"

This post is full of spoilers. But if you dont care about that kind of thing, then go ahead. But honestly, if youre avoiding spoilers, you should just get off your gadget for now.

I’ve been anxiously anticipating this episode since they revealed that it’s going to be called ‘Battle of the Bastards’. I think we all do. Were you all as scared as I was?? But first, let’s give it up for the show on how very appropriately they entitled this episode. And it's aired on Father’s Day, too. In the US, at least (we, down under here, celebrate it on different time). It’s also very satisfying that this episode is exactly 60 minutes long.

I’ve been reading a lot of predictions and fan theories on the show that I kinda already know what’s gonna happen, thanks to them. But watching those things came to live on the TV screen is still shocking and thrilling. So, yeah. I think I cursed a lot watching this episode and I'm fasting! May Allah forgive me. And do, enlighten me if you happen to know the answers to some questions/confusions I stated below. Okay, here we go!

  1. Tyrion being scolded just by Dany’s gaze. It’s cute but I’m also a bit worry about him. He’s my favorite. Apart from Jon.
  2. Dany actually listens to him! This is amazing. I actually thought she’s gonna be like, ‘You’re fired,’ and proceed to do whatever she feels like doing.
  3. CMIIW; the conversation between Tyrion and Dany was in the pyramid, right? How did they get to wherever they are right now (it’s like a rooftop?) so fast? Dragon ride?
  4. Tell them, Dany. Honestly, you guys, did you not aware of what dragons could do? ‘Slaughtered them’. Pfft.
  5. Okay, I guess not! She prefers to just burn the enemies alive.
  6. Does this mean we’ll get to see the other dr–OMG, the three of them!! I want Rhaegal because he’s the green one.
  7. It’s cool that Grey Worm spare the live of the one being blamed by his two friends. Tyrion definitely planned this.
  8. Wait! What about Yara’s fleet?
  9. Oh, off the North we go. Will the battle occupy the rest of the duration?
  10. I find it hard to believe that Iwan Rheon almost played Jon Snow. Guess how many times Ramsay said ‘bastard’ already.
  11. “You're going to die tomorrow, Lord Bolton. Sleep well.” YASSSSSS SANSA, MY QUEEN.
  12. Tormund was just nodding when Jon brief them of the plans? Is he nervous? Lol.
  13. Jon, Sansa, my babies, don’t let this battle drift you apart, please. :(
  14. Okay, I love you, Sansa. But to be honest, you should definitely tell Jon you’re expecting more army instead of just saying, ‘We need more men.’
  15. Also, Sophie Turner, marry me.
  16. I have this strange image of Arya just coming right through when Sansa said, “No one can protect me. No one can protect anyone.”
  17. Lol again at Tormund. His special drink is goat milk? Hahaha. So hey, maybe Davos will find some kind of inspirations to add more to the battle during his walk.
  18. Melisandre is being really humble about Jon’s resurrection. I’m really glad she’s not letting Jon tell him not to bring him back again.
  19. Let’s all be grateful for how easy it is for people of Westeros to find small tokens on the ground. Example: Jorah finding Dany's ring and now Davos finding Shireen’s wooden stag. It’s wooden, right? What wood was that thing from? How is it not burned to ashes??
  20. Dany x Yara. Yara was like, “I’m not here to propose you, but I’m open to any possibilities.” Bahahaha flirty. Imagine if they just get together and burn down the patriarchy in Westeros. There must have be some fanfics about them already now.
  21. I’m surprised they’re not asking for more. And just the prospect of these women being rulers make me happy.
  22. Oh, the call for war. The freaking chillssssssss.
  23. Ramsay dragging something with a rope. Is it Rickon’s dead body??
  24. For God’s sake, he’s alive! Now I'm really scared for him.
  25. Jeez, I thought it will be easier if he’s already dead rather than seeing him die on screen.
  26. Ramsay’s going to release his hounds and make them chase Rickon!!!!!!
  27. No, he’s not! I’m fucking glad that didn't happen.
  28. How good was he with archery, though? Ha, missed! How far could a fucking arrow go, anyway?
  29. I understand that Jon just couldn’t stay there watching Rickon running to him, but Jon, don't go too far.
  30. Just a few more feet to go! Ramsay kept missing, I thought Rickon really got a chance. Maybe not run in straight direction, Rickon.
  31. Ramsay, you motherfcker! We were so close to another Stark reunion!! They didn’t even get to say anything to each other... RIP youngest Stark pup, Rickon. :'((
  32. Go!!! Kill them!!!!!!
  33. Jon, too close, too clooose! Back off! Back the hell off!!
  34. I didn’t sign up to be the witness of his death, again!
  35. And then his own army was just like WOOSH through him before he actually hurt someone with Longclaw. Lol at his face. He's such an idiot sometimes. This meme is accurate.
  36. Dude, will the Umbers reveal themselves as actual Stark loyalists?
  37. Well, nope. Smalljon Umber and his men are attacking from behind this half circle wall of army thing. Fucking traitors.
  38. Wun Wun from afar looks awkward just swinging his hands in every direction. If I were him, I’d crowd surfing on them. And instead of catching me, they’d just be crushed. A lot of them at once. Okay, that’s dark. Sorry.
  39. Please don’t kill Tormund.
  40. It will be so stupid if Jon die from suffocation. At least he’s gonna faint now. But don’t, Jon! You’ll end up like fruit jams if you faint.
  41. He didn’t! Breathe now, Jon.
  42. Knights of the Vale sure knows how to be dramatic. And it’s cute that their sigil is white falcon. It kind of looks like dove, as if they’ve come to bring peace.
  43. Sansa is sooo pleased with herself now. But seriously, gurl, shoulda tell you brother before he run to the front line of the battle.
  44. Thanks, Baelish. What does he want in return, though? My baby, Sansa?
  45. And now off for Ramsay. I hope he doesn’t have more men to surprise-attack Jon.
  46. Winterfell and Castle Black looks like the same place. I hope Wun Wun crushed some men to the wall again.
  47. Oh, you want to fight one to one now? That’s a desperate attempt. He knows he’s losing.
  48. The determination in Jon’s face.
  49. I was a bit teary when Jon’s punched the hell out of Ramsay’s face. It’s like... just so emotional and after all he’s gone through, here he is again bringing justice for his family...
  50. But then, I thought he ends Ramsay there because goddamn HBO Asia kind of cut it out so I didn’t see the part where he was still moving.
  51. Rickon looked like Olly? And it’s just awesome that they get to buried him in the Crypt of Winterfell.
  52. I’m so happy that Jon let Sansa finish Ramsay.
  53. “I’m part of you now.” This man is repulsive.
  54. FINISH HIMMMMMMMMM, SANSAAAAAAA. Then I whisper to myself in satisfaction, almost like hissing, Yessssssss he’s dead.”
  55. Walking out like the boss she is. Can we have this scene parallel with Jon and Arya’s scene?
  56. Great episode! I feel so weak now. It was such a roller coaster that made my heart skipped a few beats.
I feel like HBO Asia cuts off quite a lot of scenes, not just the gory ones. Luckily I watch the episode again today (yes, I’m such a GoT trash T.T) and managed to see what I didn’t see. I almost didn’t see Viserion clearly on TV earlier this morning? They didn’t show that scene when the ship broke in two? Or were my eyes fooling me? Or you do you guys, HBO Asia subscribers, agree with me? OMG one episode left!!!! See you on the finale!

35 Random Thoughts On Season 6, Episode 8 of Game of Thrones, “No One”

Here’s the thing. I’m admittedly addicted to Game of Thrones and after new episodes, I will read a few reviews and some other articles predicting what will happen on the next episode. I regularly read ‘Game of Game of Thrones’ on The Verge because I like the writing. And also every BuzzFeed article regarding GoT. Just because I open that site everyday at work.

And I know I should do this thing earlier, but I decided to do this now, on episode 8. Mainly because my phone and the charger was dead this morning so I can’t ~pour~ these thoughts on Twitter. So here it is, BuzzFeed style, full of spoilers, not really a review post. Some are may not even in regular orders and I don't even know what photos I should put on this post. Here you go!

  1. Oh, Lady Crane changed her lines. Room for improvisations is important, I agree. I kinda miss Cersei with that long hair though.
  2. I thought we’ll see that actress playing Sansa, still on the side of the stage again. I wonder how damaged her face is?
  3. Oh hey, Of Monsters and Men are still there on the balcony.
  4. Wait, is this Arya? She’s somehow Lady Crane now?
  5. Do you think Arya would wish she’s good with needlework like Sansa, just so she can stich herself whenever she’s hurt like this?
  6. Is Lady Crane actually the Waif??? I read too many theories. This show is driving me insane.
  7. Who are these bunch of...? Ah, nevermind. The Hound already end them. Back to the dark side!
  8. But where is Varys going?
  9. Pffft can these Faith Militants even fight for real? But yea, the Mountain is scary af.
  10. Bronn and Pod! Haha
  11. Ew, Bronn. It’s nothing like that.
  12. I think somehow, somewhere, Pod or Brienne thought about getting it on, but then they decided to keep away from that sort of complications. No?
  13. I still ship Brienne and Jaime. But also Brienne and Tormund.
  14. They’d turn to enemies when night falls! I hope we don’t have to see them fight each other. I’m happy that Jaime let Brienne keep Oathkeeper.
  15. Jaime’s declaration of love is full of threats. And he said that “things we do for love” thing again!
  16. Edmure is marked for dead, like Blackfish said. And the guard would wish he’d listen to that old man.
  17. Blackfish! There’s room for you on the boat, you stubborn! Bye, I guess.
  18. Do you think Jaime’s golden hand kind of sparkles when hit by the dim light so that Brienne know it was him?
  19. Okay maybe they haven’t been rowing that far. Unlike Genry. I don’t even know the importance of his character anymore.
  20. Tommen is an idiot. I thought he was sad and felt guilty that he couldn’t do anything about Cersei’s walk of shame?
  21. Whatever, Tommen. The Mountain is wasted now.
  22. What rumor, Qyburn??
  23. Tyrion, Grey Worm, and Missandei again. At least they’re making jokes now, not just some awkward conversation.
  24. Do we get to see Viserion and Rhaegal?
  25. Oh hey, Dany. Taking the Drogon Express, eh? Please don’t let this episode end with her doing crazy CGI stuff again.
  26. Glad to know the Brotherhood without Banners are still not as bad as those jerks.
  27. Hahaha The Hound still prefer chicken.
  28. Poor Lady Crane.
  29. I thought the Waif was running while holding a sword, but it was a dagger. And the theory about Arya planning the whole attack was wrong?
  30. How about don’t leave any blood trace, Arya?
  31. Damn the theory wasn’t fully wrong!
  32. Yes. Cut that bitch.
  33. Wave them bye, Waif.
  34. Arya Stark of Winterfell! And she’s going home! Another Stark Reunion??!
  35. But does this mean we didn’t get to see Jaqen anymore? I mean, I don’t know if I still like him, but Tom Wlaschiha is hot.
I read that the rumor was about the wildfire. And I don’t mind if the theory of Cersei being the Mad Queen is true. Also, I didn’t notice it before until I saw this Tumblr post. The shot of Arya leaving Jaqen and the Faceless Men behind was similar like when Jon was leaving the Night’s Watch.

And Preview of episode 9 is KILLING ME. AND WHY WOULD JON SAID THAT? WHAT IF he ends up like this again? :((

I may be back for the Snowbowl. Or not.
