Currently

I’m in the mood to make a short blog post tonight. So, I thought I’ll just make this quick post as this one doesn’t require my usual prolonged preparations. Ahem. Here we go...

Last book I read: Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata. The latest masterpiece from Indonesian writer Andrea Hirata. A bit absurd but smart and hilarious as per usual. I love that his writing feels so cinematic and I love the way he describe that bittersweet thrills of falling for someone.

Last movie I watched: STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI! In fact, I really need to see it again. I was so impatient and afraid of spoilers (haha!) that I went to see it on the first day, December 13th, earlier than the US release date. Sure, it was 151 minutes and I got home almost at midnight, but it’s worth it??

Currently reading: I’m about to start reading Dilan by Pidi Baiq. Because I’m late to the party, as usual. This book is being adapted into silver screen and created quite a hype here. I bought the second book instead of the first one by mistake a few weeks ago. If I can, I like to read the book before watching the movie adaptation. So...

Currently been listening to: Lorde’s Melodrama album. This girl… ugh. I’d be rooting for her on next year’s Grammy. And Warpaint’s Whiteout.

Currently watching: Sadly, I’m not watching any particular show regularly lately, even though I have a looong list.

Current favorite font: Spectral.

Currently feel excited about: I just can’t wait to get some days off, man. Another thing… It’s so close to January! I’m not excited about my own birthday at all. But! The xx is playing here on January 23rd and I’ve got the VIP ticket! Well, I need to print it and maybe switch it on the venue, whatever. But the point is, I’M GONNA BE THERE.
I correctly guessed that they are my top artist. But it's so funny that their songs are not on my top songs? Haha. Never mind. I’LL SEE YOU SOON, BABES. (See what I did there?)

From 'Beyond The Wall'

Okay, I've been gone from my own blog for too long. And naturally, I'm back because of Game of Thrones. Work and commuting have been so time consuming. I spent all day in front of the PC and most nights, I would just write somewhere else. I didn't really feel like making similar posts to like I did for a the few last episodes on previous season. And what hasn't been said? All the theories out there, from the possible to nonsense ones, are enough to cover it. But I have to because Season 7 Episode 6, 'Beyond The Wall', is INSANE. I'm just gonna make some point and I'll try to keep this short.

First of all, I kind of hate the fast pace of the whole season. Like, I get why they do it. But it used to take so long to travel across Westeros and now they just make it so fast, that sometimes it feels so unreal. Yes, to me the traveling time feels unreal, not the dragons and ice zombies. Ha.

I'm really disappointed with Arya and Sansa's scenes in tonight's episode. I read a theory last week, that Arya was actually aware that Littlefinger is tricking her. I was hoping so hard that and we still have the finale to prove it, but I think it's unlikely. Arya is the one who was never really 'exposed' to Littlefinger's manipulations game. But I still hope that she will see it soon, given her training with the Faceless Men. Okay, next.

Spoiler alert, obviously.

I said to my friends that it will be fair if Daenerys lost one of her dragons. By that I mean, one of them will probably be controlled by the dragonhorn that was supposedly in the possession of Euron Greyjoy. But no. The Night's King turned out to be a very well trained athlete (maybe he trained during those long ass summer?) and got himself a freaking dragon, instead. Sure. Have it your way. It was a lot more heartbreaking to see than I thought it would be. It's my sensitive pet owner heart, I suppose. Don't blame me.

It's also really interesting. You know that theory that Tyrion is also a Targaryen because he's the Mad King's son? I never want to believe that theory. But people were like, you know, the dragon has three heads and they believe each are represented by Daenerys, Jon, and Tyrion as the last Targaryen. Well, now that Viserion is gone, I guess it's only Dany and Jon now, huh? I'm not sure how to feel about the possibility of their romance, though. Also, there were like tons of fanart of Night's King riding a dragon before Season 7 started. It makes sense, but I never really put much thoughts on it. Mainly because I thought the dragon would be controlled by that damn dragonhorn. So to see it on screen kind of feel like seeing a fanfic (fan theory, in this case) came to life. Some pretty solid theories have been proven so far. Let's just hope the theory that Bran is actually the Night's King to be one of them.

And lastly, I read about an actor being cast as Rhaegar Targaryen. I get a feeling that we'll get another flashback on the season finale. I really just want Jon to know about his parents, okay?! I would also like to know Cersei's plans/next moves.

Overall, this episode was pretty messy emotionally and narratively. So, yeah, we'll see what will happen next.

Wishlist

I’ll be turning 25 at midnight, a few hours from now. Maybe not technically because my mother told me I was born at around 9pm. But, ahem, anyway...

I will also start on my new job tomorrow. I can’t wait to move my muscles again, in terms of writing and just commuting daily to work. I can only do so much while staying at home even though I have so much time to spend. Well, that’s one aspect I need to work on more; time management. I kind of feel that one of the ways to get more organized is to be busy. I’m nervous but also excited too see what’s to come.

January 2017 is exciting and not because I turn 25. I’m still definitely not an adult and the things that excite me are TV shows and my favorite band’s new album. Haha. Sherlock season 4 started on new year. The xx’s album will be released on my mom’s birthday, but they released a new single today right at midnight, so I’ll take it as a birthday gift. Haha. I’m planning to buy it from Amazon but man, it takes about a month with the regular shipping. Oh well.

I wanted to make this kind of post, but don’t really know what to put in there…? So here’s my wishlist. I might buy these things myself one of these days, depending on the priority. #IndependentWoman haha 😊

1. The Girl in the Spider’s Web by David Lagercrantz. 2. A Victorinox Swiss Army knife. I don’t know which one I want yet. 3. Black jeans. 4. Flat ankle boots so I can wear it everyday. 5. Mascara of any brand, really. I’m running out of mascara! 6. It’s finally available in Indonesian stores, can’t wait to try one. 7. I See You by the xx, of course. Out January 13th.

Alright. Gonna watch Sherlock season 4 now. Wish me luck on the new job tomorrow! Werk it!

Confused Coffee 1. Ngapain woy. ðŸ˜‚
2. Ngopi duluuu~

Aamiin. Kayaknya mah nggak mau bikin 52 project lagi deh ya. Mau ngevlog juga nggak shanggup, bikin apa dong ya? Yasudah, sambil mikir sambil nungguin episode baru Sherlock atuh ya.
