Looking Forward & Thursday Tunes ♫

Hi..........!

My mind’s been filled with a lot of anxiety, so I’m trying to fill positive thoughts and optimism. I’ll start my internship this March for two months. It scares the hell out of me to be in the middle of the working environment, and not to mention the ‘seriousness’ of the place I’m interning at. I have to adapt again but overall, I think how bad could it get, really?

And you know when you have something, like a plan or even just some small exciting things that you look forward to? I’m planning a little trip with my cousins at the end of March. There’ll be a day off at the last Friday of the month, so it’s perfect (that’s why I suggested that date!). Hopefully the plan will work out. I can already imagine the photos I’ll take and the videos I’ll shoot, even the song I’ll use for the video. Hahaha don’t be surprised, it happens a lot. So I was thinking, it’ll be a bit hard for me being an intern with the adaptation for the first month, but hey, I’ll have a trip at the end of the month and start up fresh for the second month! And for the second month, I’ll surely be looking forward for it to end soon, and also for May.

So hopefully this Thursday Tunes is more cheerful than the first one. I wonder if this should just be a monthly feature... Anyway, please check it out and feel free to leave a comment! :)

If There's A Future We Want It NOW

Have you guys check out the latest video from Paramore? Well, if you haven't, here it is! They did it again. The song is really catchy and it's stuck in my head. The new album needs to get here faster! Also, I'm loving the fact that Hayley Williams and Vail actually discuss about her make up in this video on Twitter. Aahh... if only a hug from Hayley Williams would end wars... the world would be a better place (or everyone wants to be a criminal).

The Grammys was really entertaining. Tegan and Sara didn't win, Mumford and Sons got the trophy in their category and I am torn because I love Mumford and Sons too! I was really happy when they won Album of the Year and joke around with Adele on stage.

Alright, I'm trying to upload this video but the internet hates me and I hate it too. And oh, happy Valentine's, for those who celebrating it with their lovelies. Me? Oh, I got some music and the internet. HA. ;)

Thursday Tunes

Hello. I'm not sure if I have said it here that I'm thinking about making a feature for this blog. Well, a music playlist seems just right. On my old blog, which I already put down, I used to make a playlist but sadly you can't play the music and listen to the songs directly. However, when I came across Elanor's lovely blog, I learned about this web, Grooveshark and decided to sign up for it.
So here's my first Thursday Tunes! Not sure if I can keep up and do this every week, but at the very least, I'll make two Thursday Tunes for a month. Besides, who am I even talking to?

I'm sorry that some of these songs are probably not the most cheerful to listen to, but I've been feeling down lately. Probably because of the weather, or the fact that I haven't been outside for awhile, or hormones. Or all of that at once. Also, I decided on the live version of Thistle & Weeds because it's just as awesome as the record version. Excited that Mumford and Sons will be performing at Grammys! Wooyeah!
Have a nice day!

Making Stuffs

IMG_6069Been listening to: Tegan and Sara - Time After Time (Cyndi Lauper cover)

Hello, February. Stopping by today for a short update.
One day I woke up from a dream in which I had some macaroni and cheese in it. Probably because the night before I edited pictures of me and friends for the previous update, where we were having some quality time in this pasta restaurant. So I woke up feeling inspired and plan to make some the next day. My mother has been saving my 'request' for some baked macaroni with meats and other stuffs. She said, other than all and every cakes and meals she can make, her sister made better bakes macaroni than her, so I'd probably just have to ask her. What even, Mom…

Anyway, I browsed the web for the recipe and decided to use this one from All Recipes. I love that we can now adjust the servings to the recipe! Though I'm still messing around with those measurements. Whoops… I adjusted it into 2 servings because I’m gonna be the only one who have to eat it. Fact: my mother didn't even bother to taste it. Ha.
Bought the main ingredients from a mini market that's actually located in a traditional market. It was already the middle of the day and the sellers were packing their stuffs and ready to go. But not before I got some onions! And I praised myself for being so clever (note the sarcasm) that I forgot to buy some celery I thought could be useful to add some color or at least as the garnish. I'm such a forgetful person. Also, the recipes said I need 1/8 of onion and I got this tiny bitty onions so I use one. Oh well, it's called an experiment.

I checked the recipe once again. All set and so I began. It's fun. But I have to admit I made quite a mess while cooking. Bowls, plates, everywhere. Then I try to rid them off as soon as I'm done by washing them right away, to make more space and to reduce the pile of dishes at the end. After the meal is ready to serve and enjoy, I clean up the whole thing before I actually enjoy the meal. Am I turning into a clean freak? Hope not.

Tadaaaaa!

Well… for the first experiment, it wasn't bad at all. It's just that I can't find other cheese than cheddar (mozzarella or some quick melt cheese), I have to use what I had. And making the 'sauce' you'll pour on top of your macaroni is pretty fun. It's really simple, I was just a bit confused because I've only taste this meal once before. So, yeah, that's my first experiment with Mac 'N Cheese!

I also made some more skulls with another mold I made a while ago. It's far from perfect and sometimes it frustrates me. So one of those days from last week I painted some of them. And of course, my mother would have to give some discouraging comments. Whatevah,
These skulls (especially the bigger ones) are basically my re-creation of the Sugar Skull made by Charlavail. :)

Not yet done (and I'm saving the picture of the finished products hehe).

The weather has been really uncertain. Some days the sunny blue sky turns grey in some minutes and vice versa. I enjoy the rain no matter how heavy it is as long as I’m at home because otherwise, it’ll be quite a hassle. Looking forward to watch a movie tomorrow! Have a nice day, everyone!
