A Camera Affair
My uncle help documented my graduation day using a camera he borrowed from his older brother, a.k.a another uncle of mine. My cousin also came to lend a hand so we have two photographers that day, which make me feel important hahaha. I didn't even bother bringing my own camera because it's almost impossible, given the formality of the occasion. But I did snap a photo of my friends with this camera before the ceremony started. I need to bring it back home so I can transfer the photos and my uncle said I could keep it for awhile, because he's not using it. I'm pretty sure his camera is a Canon 660D or maybe it's a 600D, I kind of forget. The kit lens is no different than mine, so while his camera stayed for a few days, I thought I'll try taking some photos with his 50-250mm lens.
Soon I was spying on my neighborhood from our terrace. It was too hot outside and I'm too shy to shoot around with a DSLR camera, even with my own camera. I feel like people or at least my neighbors would roll their eyes at me and thinking, 'Look at that silly girl. What is she photographing anyway?? Pfft...' I didn't go too far, I was just taking these photos of their trees that are bearing some fruits across the street, their empty balcony, and more trees and clouds... though I still think that me + telephoto lens = a creep.
It's a bummer that the blood moon couldn't be seen from my part of the world and the peak of the eclipse was happening during afternoon on my timezone. Nevertheless, the full moon that night was so beautiful. It's like the universe know my disappointment. 'Sorry you can't see the blood moon. So here, enjoy this pretty full moon.' My uncle asked me to take some photos of the full moon because obviously, I have his camera on my possession. I failed to capture the beautiful colors of the halo around the moon. I still need to figure out to shoot in manual mode with minimum and maximum light, during night and daytime.
This moon talk makes me think of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey. Do you guys watch this TV series? If not, then you definitely should! There are a lot to learn in each episode and they're only making 13 episode of this great series! And the next time we can watch new episodes of Cosmos is probably in the next 30 years. Seriously, watch it. I'm being really demanding here. Hahaha
Be back soon but before I leave... can you see the dragonfly in this picture? See you later! :)
